8-Leg Octaband - E9779

A product for stimulating movement and exercise in children and the elderly.

The Octaband is a fun, interactive tool that promotes individuality and group cohesion through movement for people of all ages and abilities. The stretchy material, bright colors, and innovative design stimulate self-expression, spontaneity, and awareness of others.

The centre circle provides a strong visual focus, and the deep 14cm (5 1/2") hem, or sleeve, at the end of each leg allows those with limited grasping ability to participate. The Octaband has been used with great success by dance movement therapists, music therapists, teachers, recreation therapists, activities directors, occupational therapists, special needs teachers, and team builders. It has been found to be especially effective for use with children with physical disabilities and special needs as well as with the elderly with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias.

Center circle: 56cm (22") in diameter, unstreched. 8 legs extend 74cm (29") from the centre circle.

The material is 80% nylon, 20% spandex. Latex free. Colours may vary.
